Daniel M. Ole Sambu, is the Program Coordinator for the Predator Protection program, implemented by Big Life Foundation. He has been working for Big Life foundation for over 10 years overseeing the predator compensation Fund (PCF). His main task is to ensure that there is strict compliance with the PCF rules and regulations in all parties involved. His daily routine includes regular trainings, field visits and monitoring, conflicts resolution, and data collection, entry, and analysis. He also serves as a conservation mobilizer working as a community liaison officer. He has travelled both locally and internationally sharing the success story of how communities and conservationist can work together on mutual benefits. Daniel is the current Interim Chairman of the Association of Wildlife Conservancy Rangers in Kenya.
Maryanne is an Administrator and assistant command at South Rift Association of Land Owners (SORALO). She is a Kenya Wildlife Services Law Enforcement Academy graduate with an additional managerial training from the same institution. She began working for SORALO in 2014 as a Sargent and trainer. She was promoted to assistant commander in 2016, a position she held until 2019. She has represented SORALO in a variety of formal engagements, and as a trainer, she educates the local community and fellow rangers in first aid and emergency responses to assist in countering incidents. Maryanne also represents the SOUTH RIFT in the National Conservancies Women Forum and is the current Interim Treasurer of the Association of Wildlife Conservancy Rangers Association.
Richard Obanda is a Career wildlife manager trained in Participatory Rural Appraisal PRA in Egerton college Njoro. He attended Africa College of wildlife management in Mweka Tanzania and have over 40 years field experience in wildlife conservation both with KWS and private conservancies at management levels. Richard also has broad experience in conservation education programme trainings and has widely travelled locally and internationally on wildlife conservation and tourism matters.
